400 m³/h Photovoltaic Plant Cooling-Blowdown Reuse Project

This project treats 400 m³/h of cooling blowdown from a photovoltaic plant. Softening, PEK tubular membrane clarification and HRCC reverse-osmosis concentration are combined for blowdown reduction and water reuse.

Project overview

This project treats 400 m³/h of cooling blowdown from a photovoltaic plant. Softening, PEK tubular membrane clarification and HRCC reverse-osmosis concentration are combined for blowdown reduction and water reuse.

Plum supplied the complete process systems described for this project.

Process route

Softening pretreatment → PEK tubular membrane clarification → HRCC RO concentration → reuse

Process roles

Softening and tubular membrane filtration separate solids formed during precipitation. Downstream HRCC reverse osmosis provides desalination and concentration, linking upstream scaling control with the membrane-concentration duty.

The reverse-osmosis section follows Plum’s HRCC design concept.
