Project overview

This 5,000 m³/d project treats corn-processing wastewater using biological treatment, PEK Air-Lift MBR, reverse osmosis and activated-carbon adsorption for deep treatment and water reuse.

Plum supplied the complete process systems described for this project.

Process route

Biological treatment and PEK Air-Lift MBR combined with reverse osmosis and activated-carbon adsorption

Process roles

The Air-Lift MBR provides membrane solid-liquid separation for the biological process. Reverse osmosis performs downstream desalination and concentration, while activated-carbon adsorption serves the corresponding polishing duty within the reuse route.

The reverse-osmosis section follows Plum’s HRCC design concept.
