Case study
2,400 m³/d High-Alkalinity Aluminum Production Wastewater Project
This project treats high-alkalinity wastewater from aluminum production at a scale of 2,400 m³/d. The process combines acidification, flocculation and settling pretreatment with PEK tubular membrane filtration and downstream reverse osmosis for water reuse.

Project overview
This project treats high-alkalinity wastewater from aluminum production at a scale of 2,400 m³/d. The process combines acidification, flocculation and settling pretreatment with PEK tubular membrane filtration and downstream reverse osmosis for water reuse.
Plum’s scope of supply
Plum supplied the acidification, flocculation and settling pretreatment, PEK tubular membrane filtration, and reverse osmosis water-reuse systems described for this project.
Process route
Acidification, flocculation and settling pretreatment → PEK tubular membrane filtration → reverse osmosis for water reuse
The PEK tubular membrane section performs solid-liquid separation after pretreatment. Downstream reverse osmosis provides desalination for reuse.
