Case study
25 m³/h Coal-Chemical Brine Salt-Separation Phase II Project
This phase II project treats 25 m³/h of coal-chemical RO brine. Ultrafiltration, nanofiltration salt separation, evaporation and crystallization are combined to process the resulting salt fractions.

Project overview
This phase II project treats 25 m³/h of coal-chemical RO brine. Ultrafiltration, nanofiltration salt separation, evaporation and crystallization are combined to process the resulting salt fractions.
Plum supplied the complete process systems described for this project.
Process route
Ultrafiltration pretreatment → two-stage NF salt separation → evaporation and crystallization
Process roles
Ultrafiltration provides feed pretreatment for nanofiltration, which performs selective salt separation. Downstream evaporation and crystallization handle the separated fractions. This phase II project is recorded separately from the 60 m³/h brine and 4 m³/h mother-liquor project.
