24 m³/d RO Brine Reuse and Salt-Separation Pilot

This 24 m³/d pilot treats RO brine from coal-chemical production. Ultrafiltration and two-stage nanofiltration are combined to evaluate water reuse and selective salt treatment.

Project overview

This 24 m³/d pilot treats RO brine from coal-chemical production. Ultrafiltration and two-stage nanofiltration are combined to evaluate water reuse and selective salt treatment.

Plum supplied the complete process systems described for this project.

Process route

Ultrafiltration pretreatment → two-stage nanofiltration → validation of reuse and crystallization routes

Process roles

Ultrafiltration controls impurities upstream of nanofiltration, while nanofiltration provides selective salt separation. The pilot generates operating and separation data for evaluating subsequent process routes.
