Case study
200 kg/h Industrial Waste-Salt Resource-Recovery Pilot
This pilot processes industrial waste salt and its dissolution liquor at a capacity of 200 kg/h of solid waste salt. Dissolution, softening, tubular solid-liquid separation, NF salt separation, RO concentration and subsequent crystallization are combined to validate the resource-recovery route.

Project overview
This pilot processes industrial waste salt and its dissolution liquor at a capacity of 200 kg/h of solid waste salt. Dissolution, softening, tubular solid-liquid separation, NF salt separation, RO concentration and subsequent crystallization are combined to validate the resource-recovery route.
Process route
Pretreatment and dissolution → softening and PEK tubular membranes → NF salt separation and RO concentration → evaporation and crystallization
Process roles
The pilot separates the duties of insoluble-solids and precipitate removal, salt fractionation, concentration and crystallization. It generates data for evaluating the process route and operating window. The capacity refers to solid waste salt rather than water flow.
