Case study
4,500 m³/d High-Salinity Mine-Water Reuse Project
This 4,500 m³/d project treats high-salinity, high-hardness mine water. Dual-alkali softening, alkali-resistant tubular ultrafiltration and reverse-osmosis concentration are combined for reuse in mine production and auxiliary water systems.

Project overview
This 4,500 m³/d project treats high-salinity, high-hardness mine water. Dual-alkali softening, alkali-resistant tubular ultrafiltration and reverse-osmosis concentration are combined for reuse in mine production and auxiliary water systems.
Plum supplied the complete process systems described for this project.
Process route
Dual-alkali softening → PEK tubular membrane clarification → high-concentration RO → reuse by duty
Process roles
Softening reactions and tubular membrane separation control precipitated hardness solids before RO desalination and concentration. Reclaimed water is allocated to different mine-water uses.
The reverse-osmosis section follows Plum’s HRCC design concept.
