Case study

500 m³/d Oilfield Produced-Water Oil Removal Project

This project treats oilfield produced water at a scale of 500 m³/d. Gravity settling, dissolved air flotation and PEK tubular membranes are combined to remove oil and suspended solids in preparation for reinjection.

Project overview

This project treats oilfield produced water at a scale of 500 m³/d. Gravity settling, dissolved air flotation and PEK tubular membranes are combined to remove oil and suspended solids in preparation for reinjection.

Plum’s scope of supply

Plum supplied the PEK tubular membrane system for this project. Downstream treatment stages were outside Plum’s scope of supply.

Process route

Gravity settling → dissolved air flotation → PEK tubular membranes

The PEK tubular membrane section follows settling and flotation, providing further oil removal and solid-liquid separation.
